Certification Standards
IPGA C-Level Pet Groomer Certification Standards & Exam Overview
Eligibility (Must meet at least one of the following criteria):

Currently enrolled students or graduates of pet grooming-related academic programs.

Students who have successfully completed the International Professional Pet Grooming Academy (IPGA) C-Level Pet Grooming Certificate Course (Pet Styling Focus).

Individuals formally recommended by other recognized grooming academies or professional pet salons.

Practicing pet groomers without formal certification who possess at least 2 years of professional coat-styling and scissoring experience.
Designated Breed & Styling Styling Profile:

Breed Style: Poodle Teddy Bear Clip (Live Dog)

Model Dog Requirement: All exam dogs must not have received any styling or grooming treatments within the 4 to 6 weeks prior to the examination.
Examination Content & Time Limits:

Phase 1: Prep Work & Bathing (60 Minutes)
Complete the entire basic grooming sequence, including the bath and a flawless fluff-dry/blow-out. -
Phase 2: Technical Styling & Scissoring (120 Minutes)
Complete the full Poodle Teddy Bear Clip. Clippers or hand-scissoring may be used for the body; however, the legs, paws, head, and tail must be meticulously styled using scissoring techniques only.

Examination & Certification Fee: HKD 3,980

Includes: One pre-exam prep class, examination fee, judging/assessment fee, certificate issuance, and model dog fee. (Note: Re-examination fees for retakes are not included).
